Lawgi – Theresa Dam Thursday 30th April

Lawgi Hall Free camping great spot
This morning we woke to rain so we left our camp at 7:00am, fuelled up at Biloela and followed the Burnett Hwy until Dululu and then onto the Leichhardt for a short time.  We then turned left onto the Capricorn Hwy heading for Emerald. Still raining we had a quick pit stop at Duaringa then back on the road again.

Blackwater was a town we went through which is a coal mining place lots of coal trains. By the time we arrived in Emerald the rain had stopped and the sun was trying to come out and we had been on the road now for about 4hrs time to stop and have lunch.

Paul he hates stopping so through Emerald and said we should find somewhere out of town to have a bit to eat, eventually we did and I was so looking forward to getting out of the passenger side of the car even if it was only for a few minutes.

birds at Theresa Dam
We arrived in Clermont at 1:30pm and drove through town headed for the dam which was about another 1/2hr out of town. I was blowing a gail here at the dam and did not stop all night.
